If the Hartlepool boats head South you\'ll probably be fishing the Saltburn/Skinny/Staithes wrecks and rough ground marks. If heading North it\'ll be Crimdon/Horden marks.

I fished the wrecks/ground around Skinny/Staithes yesterday (not on a Hartlepool boat), no pics cos it was a hectic non stop action day, with me catching loads of ling, the best being 7lb, 10lb and 15lb.

I had around a dozen codling to 6lb, only kept 3 although all were size.

I also had a decent pollack at 4lb.

Boat loads of mackeral, at times only 3ft under the boat.

Also had whiteys, coalies and the inevitable pouting.

All the codling and ling took non baited pirks over wrecks, the rest of the fish took hokkias and daylights over the ground/wrecks.

The other three lads on the boat had similar results but not getting amongst the doubles themselves, one lad had five good cod all between 6-8lb on nothing more than a mackeral baited hokkai.

sounds like a cracking day lets hope the weather stays good and if the fishings half as good as what youve experienced it will be a good day. thanks for the advice.
