One mackerel weighed in last week in the Seaham club shore comp. Caught on the North Pier.
This bit of settled weather should bring them close in.

I didn't go to work today. The voices told me to go fishing!

Ninga - out from 8am till 5pm yesterday, fishing wrecks to SE of Hartlepool up to 6 miles offshore. Got a few Pollack and Codling, but not a sniff of a Mackerel. None of the other boats in the lock with us coming back had any either.

We\'re out on Wednesday, so let me know if you have any luck on Tuesday.

Been out of Hartlepool today and no sighn\'s of any mackeral yet.
I thought their would have been with the calm sea\'s.
Plenty of small codling up to 7lb from the rough ground off crimdon.

The lads have been out and box neted a load of the wrecks tho . they even dropped a net around us while we were on the wreck fishing it we were\'nt impressed.

Best of luck on tuesday, you never no the mack\'y might show up by then.

fsihed hartlepool today off the maggie may charter boat. had 21 cod 1 coalie and 1 whiting fishing maily with baited hokkis. fish up to 52 cm. no mackrell as yet. everyone else on boat also caught good weather fishing skipper boat what more could you ask for.

                            thanks to philt for advice.

fished approx 35mins south of harbour close in.

anyone planning trip out of hartlepool recommend maggie may skipper and crew spot on and boat brand new purpose built.

35 mins in that beast is an hour in poor old Seapride. Have to agree, though, beautiful boat and nice skipper - been through the lock with him and had a chat a couple of weeks ago.
