lol Norman I think we\'ve already had a thread about pouring lead (sorry Andy). I\'ve also been using a pan (nice cast iron jobbie £1 at the car boot fair) but thought a ladle would speed things up.

I\'ll give them a ring Dave.

I know its throwing the thread a little of topic but I use a stainless steel tea pot. Might be doing this bit wrong (saftey) but its champion with the lid as it heats the lead quicker, Even comes with its own pouring spout!. Its ideal for pouring lead into Billys mould.....

Barrie had a run out today, to St Mary`s and back just to exercise the engine not to fish. Said it was a bit lumpy.
I spent the day to good use ..... sanding and teak oiling the Gunwhales ready for the season , the look the biz now LOL.

Hi Norman did that ice in the locks do any damage to the boats?I got my hands on some heat proof boiler paint (silver ) if thats of any use to anyone.
