  • Gulp Bait

Just been reading that the boat anglers on the Humber have been getting better results by tipping their squid baits off with Gulp. Reckon that the scent is travelling a lot further and drawing the fish in. Might have a use after all!

    Mike,
Sorry to sound naive, but what is Gulp bait?

A friend who fishes regularly on my boat of Felixstowe has been trying \'gulp\' lugworm, tiped with squid it does seem to work. Yet to try ragworm. He has used crab, the only thing that likes crab are other crabs

Cheers for that. I think I\'ll get some, and try it down in Dover next month when I\'m there.

Think a lot of the guys on the humber are using the shrimp version.

mike i have not tried it on the boats yet as i havent been out on the boats yet lol but bought some during the summer, rag lug and peeler to use off the shore as a backup bait, never had a sniff of a bite anywhere but i have thought it might work as a boat bait alongside muppets and lures. as far as shore fishing with it pesonally i thinks it rubbish but you never know in diffarent areas it may work?

              cheers
