Used all the prop paint last time or would have, took no cleaning at all this time, paint did what it said on the tin thou Flag a canny make of marine paint.
4x rig wallets full of gear, 40 shads, 70 twintails and over 100 pirks ready to be sent down to the wrecks never seen again
I think we're all getting excited, it's the big orange thing in the sky staying there past home time that does it
The wife has been looking at a cruise in June , I wasn't keen till she told me it went up to Iceland and the fjords of Norway , I think I'll check out the excursion itinerary before I veto it
Unless I've overselpt ( not like me Richy ) and my hibernation alarm clock didn't Ring a Ding Ding There NOT this year's photo's, but from the archives.
The clues: Orange ring at the stern and the breeding pair of Sea Fishing Owls.
Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught
Not long now Richie, and hope this season fairs better than the last one. Graham seems all fired up and looks like he is already for the off and under starters orders - Got me self sorted for Norway - Loppa in April
Nice1 Eddie was it with that group i told you about on WSF? I am there in July, be great to hear how you get on and hope you have the weather for it, big cod time April but changable weather.
As i said ebfore as long as i am working i will be making a point of going once a year every year. If you need a hand with anything for Norway mate let me know and come back fighting fit for wrecking trips
Cheers Richie - probs see you before I go on the 15th - and will hopefully pick up the pirk mould before I go. Yeah its being organised by Paul at Moonfleet. After a PB all species and definately a Halibut this time. Will keep you infomed.
Nice1 hope you get the eather, i doubt i be at sea in my boat before you go thou as starting at my normal time of year. As i say April they say best time to get the really big cod, July time when we are going is more species and in better numbers but less chance of a 40-50lber so they say.
Wont be long for you and i bet you cant wait for it already for £1200 its a fishermans dream north Norway
There's Always next year Chris / Richie as I think Paul would make this a regular trip to various locations with reliable people wanting to go on a regular basis - costs can always prohibit and present a problem for many, but after us doing Skjervoy last year, its was an experiance well worth it.
Your not wrong and as you say having people who walk the walk rather than talk the talk is what you need. I say £1200 all in for the lot is about the going rate for 8 days in Norway.
I used to get mine from Uk hooks but the prices have gone right up, i am after 100x 6/0's if possible...anything type but Fladen hooks will do.
Best price i can find is £17 for 50 local
best hooks Ive used are VMC can pick up in smaller sizes on fleebay they are very strong/sharp and put up with the salt ...........so im told as i tend to leave all mine on the wrecks .......im starting to believe that size doesnt matter.....strength that matters
Well there you go Graham, it dont look much but the refurbed boat seats well one of them,,,new padding and treated..that will keep you abit more comfy with the old foam binned.
