BIG NEWS ..... have you heard the forcast ???? looks like we`re all going fishing this weekend.... big high pressure over europe (big in area that it) settles nicley to the south east of us by the weekend drawing warm air up from the south and across from the west, should bring slight to med westerlies of warmer southern air. Look out you fish .............

Just out of interest , I went to the Boat & Caravan show at Birmingham today and the MCA had a stand there . A very helpfull bloke had two DSC radio\'s on display and we had a play with them .

When the user is comfortable with the system it will be the dogs do-das but the guy said from 2005 the coastguard are no longer obliged to keep a watch on ch16 . I cannot help thinking it all part of a job cuts programme which will force ( or try to force ) all craft to carry digital equipment and cut manning levels .

Just wondering when these b......s are going to stop
