    crackin stuff

Aye I hope to break even by maybe something like after the Rio olympics ...

just had a quick calculation, I think I have about 20 good shads and wasted material for 6 or 8 others, all on half a litre of material at about £20/ltr
so not too bad on basics after the moulds are sorted with a shad costing around 50p plus colour, glitter, hook, weight, eyes, gas and mould life
it may even get better ...

Norman, Tony, the secret Northumbrian laboratory’s output is looking good. Are you going for “stage two” with bells, rattles and scents added like the pike and bass anglers use?

Ray and Chris, I fly and lure fish for Pollock a lot up in the wider bits of Scotland; the shads work well but shimmer eels are even better – and cheaper. Worth a look for next season.

                                slinky shad

Carrying on from Tony's phallic whittling ....

This is Tony's slinky shad sitting in the first half mould, after a bit filling and rubbing down (several coats)

Then with the second half box built around it ....

Then after the second half mould material and the hard glass backing ....

                                Finally the result ............ a 100% slinky shad ....

Progress continues for the coming season ....... nice shape Tone !
