i have a theory on those divers that behave like that, i think they are antis using a new method to try and disrupt our sport.i have meet many divers over the years and they have been ok but these last few years there has been a ever increasing bunch of assholes hell bent on diving wherever there are anglers wetting a line and generally disrupting us.Stores can confirm a shouting match i had with one group that dived right at our feet and the arrogant *******s still claimed that they were doing nothing wrong even after one of them swam through my line,Norman feel free to stick the biggest pirk on you have and try and hook the *******s in the future, might stop them doing it again in a hurry

Why dont we just catch them? Then we could fill em in and chuck them back like some other undersize and undesirable creature from the deep. Maybe in the next comp there could be a prize for the \"most sick of life\" diver.
I know a girl who is learning to scuba (still in the swimmimg pool stage) and she is already being taught to hate anglers, how sad is that?
The sea is a big place with room for everybody and those RIBS can cover a lot of miles in no time. Compromise: first there first served. Simple if you\'ve got one more brain cell than pond lifeRegards, Graham

Personally, I\'ve never had any \"run-ins\" with divers, so I can\'t really comment to their attitude.
However, if somebody is fishing a wreck and they\'re there 1st - it\'s only common courtesy to go look for another spot to dive and return later - and vice versa.
As I say, I\'ve no axe to grind regarding divers, but don\'t you find the whole idea of diving on a wreck a bit ghoulish?
Many of the wrecks off the N.E. coast were ships sunk during WWI & WWII - U-Boats sunk by our side, freighters and Royal Navy ships, etc sunk by their side.......these places are scenes of often horriffic carnage and the remains of those who lost their lives are still down there. Do these divers have some morbid curiosity? Do they follow ambulances, stop at scenes of motorway accidents or form a crowd at train crashes, etc when they aren\'t exploring the graves of those who lost their lives at sea? Would they dig up cemetery plots just to explore what\'s down there?
Nothing personal against divers.......just curious

thats one theory Ive never thought of Tony,I just texted my brother to ask if its true about them being Ghoulish lol and I got a reply back saying I was a cheeky Bar Stewart honest .Like I said he\'s been doing it for years now for work and play and he thinks theres alot of tossa\'s taking it up now but then again theres tossa\'s that go fishing as well. The sea is big enough for all to enjoy
