    Rumour has it that Rich Ward skipper of Shy torque took a party sharking yesterday and caught a 200-300lb porbeagle and have it on video and pictures - can anyone confirm this.

    all porgies are caught in nets late summer ,,,,, ie NOW !!!

      spoke to the skipper this morning and he says its true 20 mile off also had a tope but snapped the 50lb hook snood at the surface he predicted 25lb ish.

      he has pictures and videos as jason says he also confirmed that so there here just need to catch them lol

                NOT the one rumoured to have been caught from Shy Torque - but a mature male Porbeagle, non-the less.......



                So....you thought ragworm could give your fingers a bit of a nip......Think I\'d leave the hook removal to the skipper for one of these......lol

                              It aint a rumour Rich has sent me some photos and they have the whole event on video. If you can go and catch a porbeagle on your first trip especially for porbeagle with very little sharking experince just think how many there must be out there. Have a feeling Rich is going to bring a new dimension to NE charter baot fishing. Well done Rich.
