Girl power on the cod on sea-otter 2

Well what a weekend we had with the uptiding double figure be the norm at the moment on the uptiding trips some real quality fish are showing this winter and with the uptiding competition starting saturday and a £1000 up for grabs over the week its all to play for just a few spaces left over the week its worth a bash.

This young lady had never caught a cod before but today was her lucky day fish were coming aboard steady but in the corner of my eye i could see she had hooked into something better her rod is arching over could it be another double.

My crewman dave gets ready with the net.



And what a lovelly fish her first cod going just over 8lb .




Two minuites later her friend who was stood next to her shouted for the net his rod was going crazy this time it was a double a find cod going over 12lb on the scales.




Later in the day i moved back up towards whitby i have a couple of little hot spots ledges which i have fished for a number of years these spots can turn some quality fish and once again it was the girl power which came out on top having caught some nice fish earlyer her best going over 8lb she wasnt expecting this her rod was was lungeing i knew this one was bigger than her first .

This one was just onces of 10lb a big smile what a day.
