    SHARK,,,,, we going to need a bigger boat, sunday 4 november 2012, we had 10 anglers out today all members of the sunderland scuba club this time with rods in there hands not spear guns, any way fished a few wrecks inshore not mush at all few ling and pollock while fishing one wreck one lad was stuck on the wreck i went over to snap him off he end up tangle on his reel while get"n this out knowen his sinker had gone some thing still pulling on his line he was pumping his pump"n his rod nobody new what was come"n up with his line going away from the boat it happ"nds up it came up a huge porbeagle shark bout 6ft 250lb we guessed, I had the gaff in it it was going berserk kicking hell out of the boat no way it was come"n over the side we let it go, this all happ"nd in space of 10 mins rods wer still in the water this was witnessed by the 10 on board,

      chris it was amazing mate when this came up two of the lads jump out the i don"t know where they wer going to run two i was hanging over the side with gaff in it crewmen trying to get rope round its tail it was going wild,

          no mate it all happ"nd that quick and other lads still had lines in the water am hanging over the side holding on to gaff i just let it go,

                  Great to see, not suprised it was going mad with a gaff in it mind, mouth i hope....great to see them not yet seen one close up.

                      I've seen a couple over the years on North shields fish quay. Ferocious looking fish.
