I've tried a few different brands but Kwells seem to work well for me. By the way, stay off the beer the night before you go.

Wish you luck. I am going as well on Monday from Whitby.

Here my tips (and on numerous trips, I never got seasick again after I had this unpleasant experience)

A: Go to bed early, rest well and do not drink the day before
B: take a tablet before you go to bed
C: Wake up early enough and on the empty stomach take another dose
D: Take some sandwiches and cold drinks on board and start eating when on board

      On board:

      - carry on eating small portions throughout the day
-dont drink too much (fluid can irritate)
-try not to go into the cabin and if so, look out and dont sit down
-standing outside and watching land can help
      -Take another tablet at lunchtime

      Tablets:

      2 main groups are

      1. Hyosin (Parasypatholytikum) slows down the intestines, gives you a dry mouth---JOYRIDE

      2. Antihistaminika: Can make you tired

However...the best cure is to have a few trips where you dont get seasick. You develop a confidence. Being afraid of seasickness makes you seasick !!!
So if the weather forecats says "rough" rather not go at all.

      Hope it helps, cheers
Both work well (I take Hyosin) and can even be combines

once told by an old charter skipper that drinking diluted orange juice is the best remedy, and always watch land, and keep warm and dry.

[QUOTE=Charlton;439765]once told by an old charter skipper that drinking diluted orange juice is the best remedy,

Thats what Jim who owns northstar told me, but then he said "it tastes the
same coming up as what it does going down", at the time i couldnt see the
funny side of it as i was suffering badly, but i can laugh about it now, just
hope i am laughing on 13th october when i venture out with him again.

I thought the best remedy is to sit under a tree
