  • Yak Question

Made my mind up here in Scotland and that is next summer I'll have me a kayak.

Seen the Galaxy yaks on eBay which for £300 give or take seen canny...plus the fact they are less than 10ft long also appeals

Anyone had any practical experience of these?

Walking round the Mull of Galloway yesterday made my mind up
    Ooh a new vid!

Never heard of galaxy kayaks, but looking at them they look ideal to start out with. Some may advise to shell out loads more on a longer, more established make of kayak, but for fair weather and if not travelling miles out, these look ok.

How well do they tow? I could take you out to the wrecks and whilst retaining the "crewman" services give myself more deck room

In fact taking it a stage further if you strapped it to the side of slinky you could still do the bait prep

Yes I remember the thought was to take the yaks out on the bigger boats then launch them over the wrecks .....

interesting .... pulling an 18lb cod up from 250ft from a yak....

                        but seriously possible ...
