I will be going and i often just drop anchor at the red marker boys between Roker pier and Whitburn, not had alot of fish in previous years but have had dab, coalie, whiting and cod on bait.
Not a great deal on the display this year but it will still be nice to see and best of all its free and boat seats are the best seats.

As Roker pier is closed when the airshow is on. just drift with the tide the last 100yds to the pier end for macky, did that last year, the grand baairns loved it. Might be there with them again if the swell flattens.

heard ya had to be down very early in the morning to get use of the sunderland mariner ramp and not untill later on tonight aloud to re-use it becos of the airshow etc
