Thousands today going ape over shoals of bait fish.
Birds diving and catching in the harbour then flocks of them just outside piers, again going crazy over baitfish , sprats I reckon.

Then several times further out seen birds chasing the shoal , you could see the small patch about 10 metres diameter they were chasing as it moved across the water .......

I am off to shields pier in 2hrs and if i dont catch any sandeel or colie and i so sticking with my first opinion of this year......as of yet i have not caught any eel or colie from shields pier...last year i had 100s by the by now.With the big tides and tide line now being in, there should be alot about today.

Looking out the window i would say its a 10mph nw wind, bit of cloud that mght bring some rain later....better than tttv...at least i look out the window they just put a hand out

I just got back from the pier, caught 8 colie around 10oz on daylights but i was not sure if i was casting onto a glass table top or the sea lol.
