Well here we are , the great friday night .......... well usually it is.
It's a ritual that we wait all the dark nights of winter for, elongated by the silly early starts on a Saturday.
The weekend fishing starts (for me) here at about 7.00pm on a friday night when The gear and clothes for the following day are assembled.
Not a drink will pass the lips .. errrm well almost not, as everything is checked .... coats at the ready, boat keys in pocket, wallet in pocket, any special rigs stowed in carry all, weights assembled in strong bag (as many as I can comfortably carry)
All is laid out ready for the alarm at 2.00am ish (well I did say it started on a friday night) .... this means that with so little sleep its almost a full run from 7.00pm friday to the point we pass the piers. ..... can't wait ...
except .... not this one, with the forecast looking dire for Saturday it will have to be postponed for 24 hrs ..... now where's that whisky bottle .....
roll on tomorrow evening when it'll start all over again.
I just NEVER stop getting thrilled by a days boating/fishing .....
