Bert, I,ve been using glow sticks for some time now with some success. As to cost, you can pick them up in your local pound shop, there,s usually about 20 in a box.

wish Id read this post a bit earlier as my boating season is about over... might try the glow sticks with the shore fishing over the winter tho ..see if it improves my catch rate

Hi Bert, I dip in and out of NESA, but I reside in East Anglia, so dont see anyone socialy. Interesting info about the glow sticks. Though of using small ones when anchored bait fishing for cod around this area. Any chance of the contact address or Web site so I can get some on order.

PS, I have a proxy association, partner, the long suffering Hazel, is a Hartlepool lass, most of her 9 brothers and sisters still live in the area. Hazel still get a little fiesty if I refer to a certain monkey! LOL Norman and I go back a year or two as well in another life, ah Norm?

Aye Cliff the link is as follows and they are about the same price as your local poond shop but these are new stock with a shelf life !Whereas the poond shop stuff is oot of date and some of them dont work when snapped
I`m having great success with them and i thinkthey will take off big time as a lure
