The winner mick gibson receiving his £1000 cash for being the winner of the WCSA spring festival the A ssociation would once again like to thank the sponsors of the competition andrew waller and colin stonehouse from the Station Inn whitby and mike clarkson from MC electrical service ltd also from whitby they both sponsored the £1000 1st prize a massive thankyou to them.
The weather during the competition wasnt good this year compaired to last year where it was fabulas with just an odd day was lost over the 2 week festival all the same when the lads did manage to get to sea in this years competition the fishing was very good with plenty of cod being caught the man who came out on top to win the £1000 was mick gibson fishing on paul eddons boat trot on mick hit the jackpot with his 18lb ling and is now £1000 richer he is one happy bunny .
The weather should improve from now on and the big summer festival starts mid june with £5000 on offer to the winner with the biggist fish caught during the festival its not to late to get booked up you will find a list of boats on the WCSA website.
