  • New engine

Well having made the decision to change the engine instead of trying to repair it the new one has arrived and is on the boat ready to fit tomorrow. It might be a bit tight but it will go in i hope 110hp to 250 hp so all being well should be up and running by mid week

Looks good Jim, i hope all goes well, and that K&N Filter should add a couple of mph , must be a big crane in the last pic to reach your boat from the other side of the dock

if you look carefully, taking into account the angle the photo was taken from, there isn't anyone under the decending load....

                  Now just a few observations,

Whoever is on the boat during the tow from the dock head to berth must be breaking sweat, wavin his hands and shoutin orders, while the other lads are doing it all......thought I saw a pie in his hand at one point

The picture would say in court that the bloke in the bottom right hand corner is under the load, no where to go...Oh is that the HSE manager ???
                  ...or maybe not not

Glad to hear its in, i told jim that you lot should do a ghoster and get it hooked up, sea trialed and done for Monday... but he no,.... soft bugger.
well done all, nice Henjin, see ya soon.

                    paul,

we could've done with a decent project manager....do you know any

no engines were injured during this exersise, except the old one which will be scrapped.....

humans suffered a few grazes tho.....

there's one who would get scattered if a decent PM was there, in particular the pie man.............. and the shop steward wouldn't have a leg to stand on.

Sorry to hear you had to get a new engine Jim. Looks great though. Does this mean we will be cruising at 20 plus knots when we come out with you in July?

If the project manager was here and not sat in a bar in Turkey we might of got done sooner
But all that aside thanks Rob and Chris for your patience and help what started of as a water leak ended in an engine change.

A quick update after an early start we managed to get the new engine from the deck and into position made easier with Robs guidance and a scaffold pole once in position over the engine compartment we looked and square peg round hole came into my mind but it is amazing what Rob can do with a couple of pull lifts and 3 strops an in it went to say i was relieved is an understatement

Now the deck needs painting Jim, the new engine is putting it to shame, a job for Rob i reckon.. , as long as he hasn't been on the Gin that is...
