Groupon agree the price with the businesses they advertise - they take 50% off the advertised price.

Looks like the skipper done the right thing on each occasion and called for assistance, but obviously the armchair experts know better. Should start to post all the RAC & AA breakdown call outs/home starts/no fuel etc. on here and see how many red faces appear!

Travel the world and see how much charter businesses charge for a days fishing - you will be quoting how cheap the North East is every time i am sure.

Respect and protect the charter business and fishing industry or it will be gone very quickly.

Come on mate, no need to take that tone. Safe skippers do not run up on rocks or disable their boats on lobster pots, may I add once is an accident. Twice? Well that's just interesting. Yeah mate he did the right thing. But fact of the matter is he shouldn't have needed to do it in the first place. That's my armchair expert opinion if he's experienced enough to charge that much stuff like that shouldn't happen. Plain and simple. Yes accidents happen but the same
Thing rarley happens twice as an accident.

That's like punching someone in the face, then saying oh it was an accident. Then doing it again 5 mins later.

as an armchair expert I would like to ask if you went on a boat trip and you had an accident and then found out it hada, had a series of mishaps, bet you would say wish we hadn't picked that boat and won't be using it again. To stop this happening to you you should look at all available information and make up your own mind which boat you go on. When you book a skipper isn't going to tell you there is a chance we might break down. Although I am an arm chair expert my son has over 25 years experience as a member of the RNLI, I do know what goes on and what annoys them, one boat owner was brought back three days on the trot by the lifeboat, to me those that do not look after their boats and use the RNLI as a means of getting home should pay the cost.

Appologies for the arm chair expert comment - I had a few too many beers and got a bit excited reading the post!

Still think the skipper done the right thing and made the call. Not sure if commenting on the skippers judgement is the right thing to do in public.

I agree that the RNLI do a fantastic job and I always contribute to the cause.
