    Another cracking halibut today caught aboard richard copes mistress one hell of a fish it went 56lb just 12oz short of the whitby record which was busted last year it fell to squid a fish of a lifetime.

            It was richard the skipper himself which caught the fish i think one of the lads who post on here was onboard.

                A very nice fish well done Richard,,,,,,,come on mark all the hours you put in that should have been yours or your good lady,s tell the story I bet you nearly died when he pulled that aboard

                      No reason why we dont catch more, in Norway they are on the increase and they take pirks, shads, dead baits..i am sure a few more will turn up in our area...not heard of any from the Tyne yet.

                        i had a 6lb one from the hartlepool area about 5 years ago. Caught on rag baited daylite.
                        give a man a fish and feed him for a day - teach the man to fish and feed him for life!!!!
