    Hi Lads
I went out today and the weather was absolutley brilliant, no wind, sunshine, hit the first wreck 7 mile on slack water and straight into a pollock about 4lb, then 2 cod, 4lb & 5lb on the next 2 drifts, moved 4 mile to try another wreck and 2 cod 4lb & 7lb, shifted again about 2 mile 3 cod to 5lb, 8 fish in total, all 3 wrecks were showing fish on the finder and if there had been a few on the boat with me I feel we would have bagged up.

About 2 oclock the wind came and the drift was flying, lost a rake of sidewinders and lost all my sinkers, by then the swell were hitting me beam on and the boat was getting hoyed about, so called it a day, back in on a bumpy ride home but a great day.

Sidewinders did it again with ruhbarb and custard being the preference, a few cod starting to show now which is promising for the weeks ahead, out again on Saturday to finish the week off, then graft.
I will post a shot of a couple of fish tomorrow, i forgot the camera on the boat.

Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything but bring a smile to your face when thrown down the stairs

Converting an MFV Fifie trawler type thing.

          Hi Mark,
Nice to hear from ya, i was supposed to go back wednesday but reschedule my flights til Monday, the wife thinks its because its our 34th anniversary but the forecast was looking good for Sat and Sun, just hope the forecast holds out.
A couple of my regular lads can't make it out on Sat, if ya fancy a run out your welcome. I promised ya a freebie for the past favours.
5-5:30 start mind, from Hartlepool to beat that wind that normally gets up at dinner time and ya'll need plenty o'tackle. let me know

i want one o those. Looks like a great piece of kit and would get you offside in no time. Take it you have it in the marina. Bet it does get expensive though with the cost of fuel these days.
            Tight lines.

The lad next to me in the boat yard was saying he is using 13ltrs an hour at 18knots and if he pushes it flat out at 24knots you can watch the fuel pointer go down

Nice to see fish comming in, hoping to be out at sea in 4 weeks time.

working 7 days a week for the past 12 months paul (had xmas day and boxing day off )

chances of even seeing the sea let alone getting out on it are remote for a while yet

will take you up on it at some point though. forgot to tell you I renewed your domain and hosting last month - dunno if you still wanted it!
