I use to have a mk1 Reiver 15ft. Solidly built but flat bottomed. Like said, threw a lot of spray up due to the shape of the bow in a small swell, and in a following sea, running down the swell into the back of the next one, the boat would just about stop dead, with all your gear sliding to the bow. Flew on a flat calm sea though.

        Seen this one on WSF

        all details

Orkney Longliner 17ft with cuddy and forward hatch. Has 5hp long-shaft Honda four stroke 1999,which pushed the boat along at approximately 7 knots and is fantastic on the petrol.

The boat comes on a very good roller coaster trailer, with bearings that are all greased and ready to go.

Includes, rowlocks, oars, various ropes, buoys and a grapnel type anchor.

        Manual bilge pump

Fully anti-fowled and ready to go.

Email me at andrewoconnor1613@yahoo.co.uk or all on 07877032230. £1995

you will have to be quick as this will be snapped up the pictures of it are on wsf as well looks a good package

will leave you room on your budgett to upgrade the engine for going further

keep your chin up, and just because someone has PM'd him does not mean its sold it could be still available as the guy who sent him the message is in france so may be he wont wait till he gets home he he he

also go onto the boat owning and maintenance section of wsf and ask on there, when you decide to look people from all over the country will help and you will get sorted,

some dont even get advertised as they sell by word of mouth and on that site you have a very wide audience

not saying anything wrong with nesa but wsf does have a hell of an audience

had a look mate, engine looked good boat looked okay but on the third picture i recieved, looked as though it has damage of some sort.brother whos going halfers seen it when he zoomed pictures in.said theirs a crack, problably easy fixed but cant afford to take chance especially being first boat and all. didnt bother after that , but keep on looking cheers anyway.

That crack you are looking at is it on the inside just coming down from where the oar holder is going towards the seat ???

                    Sean

Ps if it is its the safety wire which stops the rowlock falling into the sea !

good luck on your flyer bid...great boats (what i want when i buy one)...i'll keep an eager eye on the thread!

make sure it is a wilson flyer and not a Dory...they look VERY similar but the flyer has 2 lines down the side...dory just has one.
this is a wilson flyer http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/17ft-Wilso...#ht_500wt_1202

this is a pilot dory http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/17-foot-Wi...ht_1349wt_1185

im not saying theres anything bad with a dory...just a wilson flyer is worth more and you may get stung on the price.
