    Help & info plz guys.................
What make & models of LD boat reels do a 6:1 ratio ?.
Ideally not looking to spend vast amounts of cash so the usual suspects like Fin-Nor are out the running .

Do you mean a lever drag reel? The cheapest would be a Penn Squall 30 Lever Drag Reel (6.1:1) at £110 plus £5.99 from Utting.co.uk. Veals.co.uk also do it for £115 inc free pp. And as other suggested, Daiwa do 6.1 reels but they mostly are star drags.

Just keep an eye out for a fin nor 20, they are a canny price for a hardy real.

I have a Fin Nor 20 and a Shimano Torsa 20, both great reals with a 6:1 ratio but the fin nor is far cheaper and abit stronger built, just not as smooth or as light as the Torsa.

We often fish wrecks off the Tyne in 260-320ft down and over in Norway so a 6:1 real really helps.
