Been reading this since you first posted it Chris , but didn't really know what to say, most of the things I was thinking have been said, the rest I'll keep to myself , if I type them here I might end up selling my boat
All the best with whatever you do this year, I'm sure you'll get out plenty mate even without your own boat
I accepted an offer on the boat today after 2 lads viewed it yesterday, and i thought i'd never sell it at this time of year. Thanks for all your comments lads
Bloody hell that was fast mind you i know what condition the boat was in so i had no doubt it would sell is it staying local mate or off down the country again we will have to arrange a bit shore fishin before it ends all the best mate

Condolences Chris, that must have been a hard choice to make. Financially, having a boat makes no sense at all so it is a measure of the enjoyment we get that we overlook the cost. If other interests like looking after the little-uns come long it rebalances the equation and sometime something has to give. Some things you never give up, you just don’t do any more; if you want a trip out from the RQ when Norman is busy you’re welcome to come with us.
Tony, Once your fishing tackle empire takes off, you'll have a boat , but that will leave Norman a bit lonely without his right hand man
I think that Norman has been secretly been training Tony in preparation for his lottery win. He’s graduated from cabin boy to become assistant skipper, looking through last years photo’s.
Not such a fast career progression then. Looks like your lottery win will have to wait a little longer.
one step at a time Kev .....
he says hes doing some Gym work, good job there as I expect to fish a bit more at anchor in the beginning of the season and I need to know he can haul the anchor fast enough ... the deckhand that is

Thanks for that Kev, some wise words there, i'll be keeping an eye on Tony's progress as 1st mate, should be some good laughs along the way...

Yes Stewey, I met the lads yesterday morning and it's a case of waiting for the cheques to clear then it's theirs. I was just lucky it was the type of boat they wanted and there was no M/F 635's for sale up North.
