Thanks for the info on Friars Goose - I gave them a call and it would total around £650 + insurance fees (there was a ~£300 fee to join the club so dont think we will go for that since we were only planning on keeping the boat for 1 season). Shame because it sounds like a canny marina, but we need something cheap and cheerful if poss. Maybe I'm asking too much, but Im only used to the Seaton Sluice harbour fees of ~£130 per year! :/

I also called St Peters Basin but there it was going to be £55 per foot plus your yearly POT fee (and Im guessing insurance also), making the total probably over £1200 I would say for the year. Again, sounds like a nice place but I can't afford that for what we would be using the boat for. Price for Royal Quays is more again, but you get what you pay for so can't grumble at that, just can't justify it for what would technically be a 'second / pleasure boat'.

I think it sounds like we'll just be selling the boat on I think when we're finished, which is a shame but got to be sensible about these things! There's still a few more clubs / marinas in the Tyne but its hard to get any information for them and Im guessing they'll all be priced around the same anyway. Will definitely have a few trips out on her though first and just pay to launch her in the tyne somewhere, or maybe go up to a loch in Scotland for a weekend if possible. That would be canny!

    Thanks for your help.

    Steve
