    can anyone tell me why two thunderbolt plugs which are new will not work but starts okay when i put the old ones back indo they need any treatment before they are used fill your boots cracedup

    This might sound daft, but is the gap in the plug correct, if they are the right plugs, you should at least get some life out of them.

      thanks for your effort but thunderbolt plugs dont have any gap as they come is how they go in

        Might be wrong plug there should be numbers and letters on the old plugs so you can get matching ones

          Gloplugs? Have you tried them out of the engine to see if they heat up?

            Are those the plugs in merc outboards that have a center pin and the electrode?


            If it is I had the same problem and I never found out why. I put some ordinary plugs in and the engine worked a treat.
