i am thinking of trying 12oz leadheads and twintails for wrecking this year do i use a leader from the braid to the leadhead or just tie direct to braid i think that a leader would be more forgiving and probably not lose as many fish ; any info please and thanks.
finn;
i would use the knot shown on the tips section of this website

tie a piece of mono less breaking strain than your braid and wind in until you have about 3 turns on the reel. Then put a snap swivel on the end you can then attach what ever you need to this. the mono acts as a shock leader/weak link whilst fishing (should never loose expensive braid).
give a man a fish and feed him for a day - teach the man to fish and feed him for life!!!!
