  • 3 men in a landrover (southampton boat show)

We had decided to go to southampton boat show a few months ago, but didn't take it any further than that, untill i came back from my holidays and had a bit of crack with mick and phil to see if we were still up for a weekend away, we decided we'd drive down on the friday evening, book into somewhere close, spend the saturday at the boat show, go on the drink sat night and then head back home on the sunday. good plan.......in fact..exelent plan
Trouble was, when i came to book some accomadation close to southampton marina there wasn't anything available, apparently there was a boat show on?. so we had to work our way outwards through some of the villages/towns on the outskirts of southampton just to get some where to stay. Eventually finding a BB in a village called Ringwood 20mins from southampton. sorted .........
Finished work 2pm friday and arranged to pick the lads up about half 3, so leaving 5/6 hrs for the drive meant we'd get to Ringwood about half 8...9pm ish, well timed to find a pub (any pub) and sink a few......Wrong !!...heard on the radio about an accident on the A1M and road was closed.... s***t !! found the tail-back/jam 27 miles from the accident.......... anyway, fast forward to 11.40pm.....arrived destination (thanks tom tom )

            Ray,

I had a good look over the parker 660, cracking boat for the money, i don't think i'll be replacing mine tho, unless it's for the arvor, retailing new for £99,950 but hey, you get £1000 of fishing tackle with it..

            i've got the £950.........
