Toilet (or lack of) on charter boats

I am surprised by the number of charter boats without toilet facilities. I mean an 8 to 10 hour trip and no toilet, what's that about? Personally I dont want to get my dongle out and pee over the side with another 10 guys onboard. Also I always go with my girlfriend so it is really important to find a boat with a loo, for us................. and the other guys onboard!! LOL

It would also be really helpful if charter boat websites stated whether they have a loo. I have spent a lot of time reading reports and views about boats and then when Ive chosen, and emailed/phoned to book, find out there is no loo and have to start all over again. So charter skippers, could you please state on your website if you have, or indeed have not, got a loo, its a facility that is often overlooked under "about the boat." In my search of charter boat websites around 70% have no mention of toilet facilities!

It would be a great help to me and I'm sure lots of others if you could add this info.

One of the first fishing boats me and my mate bought had no heads so we just hung over the aft rail when we wanted a"pony n trap",after a couple of trips my mate said he's invented a new luxury heads for use to use..........................he put a couple of pegs on the rail so you could clip the newspaper to read whilst doing the business......just the job I said.

Thats good to know, but proves my point really, as your website has no mention of having a toilet.

One of the few out of Hartlepool I'm afraid mate, a lot still have buckets!!

Totally agree nothing worse than having to hang your clay pit over the side to drop a ertha kitt in the drink.

it's bad enough cleaning fish guts and blood off the sides of the boat when you get back, never mind trails of barry white.............

i was on a boat trip a few years ago,and a lad asked where he could ahve a dump,the skipper gave him a bucket,and said just throw it over the side when your finished,the lad did that then the skipper shouted,not the bloody bucket aswell

I once had a massive case of the squirts while out on a charter boat. All dignety goes out the window when 11 other people are laughing at u while crouched ower a bucket.

try 5 days at a well known Somerset festival in the height of summer, with 150,000 revellers and you soon learn to forget about any toilet sensibilities you may have once had

I know this is easier said than done but I have said many times before now - as long as you do "most" of your business before you leave the house for that 12 hour trip then all being well you won't even think about it...mind you that's alright for a bloke who can just have a tinkle over the side easily...but I'm sure women can as well if they try hard enough??
