Set off yesterday morning at 8:00am to fish our local boat club comp. We got out to about a mile and half off the piers and began fishing in anticipation at around 9:00am there was a swirl of water off the stern of the boat and at first glance all three of us on board thought that it was a dolphin, all three of us immediatley changed our minds once the dorsil fin broke the surface of the water, it was a shark of around ten to twelve feet long. I dont know about you guys but this was a very first for all three of us. It circled the boat around and around rubbing its dorsil fin along the hull of the boat cirling one way then turning and coming around the other it was amazing to see. We tried to tempt it to feed by throwing our macky friends over board in front of it but it didnt seem to be interested. It seemed more interested in checking us out it was turning on its side and looking straight back up at us and us staring straight back at it, it is true what they say about sharks having a totally cold black stare I can now say Ive seen it live for myself. Ive just come back from hols so the normal camera on board was still full of holiday pics so after the three of us scrambled over fishing gear, carrier bags, rope boat gear etc etc we eventually found a camera to use before the shark bid us farewell. Pleasee see the pics attached and good look to those of you who fancy a bit of shark fishing, but from a personal point of view it was more than enough just to see such a beast swimming and hunting in our waters Tight lines
