where abouts are you fishing from ?? colvic watsons are a good solid boat there are a few of them at royal quays, i presume you mooring the boat as they look very heavy to tow and launch from a beach or slipway??

the boat is at amble at the moment but trying to get it in sunderland or the tyne have to see where i can get a mooring its to much hassle at amble with the sand bank at harbour entrance plus i live in sunderland

royal quays is ideal, it is very secure and has 24 hour access, sunderland would probally be better if they had any space, i go to hartlepool marina quite often in the summer and they have the same security and facilities as royal quays, about the same cost aswell

Yeah, I used to be based at Amble as well , a right bitch trying to get in sometimes ..... no such problems with the Tyne.

been up at amble for years if you stop up there can give you a few pointers , Bought a new boat myself this year am going to give Royal Quays a go, would agree the entrance is tricky even more so in a colvic as they have a deeper draft.
