  • Sold my boat a year ago, started getting hassle.

I sold my boat about 18 months ago. It was my first boat and was just wrong for me. It was 22 foot on a chain, our lass hated going over in the dingy.

It was slow 5 knots top speed, but used no fuel.

It had a fully rebuilt 1.5 BMC and a good aux engine.

Anyway, four weeks ago I gets a text saying the boat has cost me fortune - the bilge pump has gone. I just ignored it. I mean a pump is £20 on ebay.

A few weeks later another text saying the gear handle is broken and I really ripped him off.

    I ignored that.

Now I keep getting text saying what a rip off merchant I am .

I feel a bit crap but you know 18 months later and I know from the lads down the marina the boat gets little attention.

i would text him back and say they money has a tear in it and started to rot
no matter what boat you buy you will always have probs and start having to spend money its the part of owning a boat

If that's the only bother he's had in 18 months you need to ask him for some more money
        Cheers, Keith.

canny that, sell something and 1 year+ later your a rip off merchant.....lol

i'm sure he was happy to buy at the time, forget about it....and think what you've bought lately and who you could call to complain to, ooo ! had a pub meal 2 weeks ago and me bowels are playing up today....etc etc...

then you may realise how insignificant it is......

if you sold with good intentions....go the old way, and tell em to f....ff

I bought my boat 2 year ago, and the outboard has been a problem since day one. Now it's going to cost me £5,000 min. to replace, but thats the deal sometimes when you buy second hand. I didn't go back to the seller or hassle him.
Tell him to.............go away and grow up.
