    well i was up at 4 am debating wether to cancell boat trip as i was taken 4 mates out decided to give it a go so set of about 8 am headed out of piers about 9 wind was blowing realy hard stopped about half a mile from piers into mackeral straight away took mind off wind in the end really glad we braved it ended up with 15 cod heaviest about 6lb and 30 mackeral wouldnt go out in wind that strong again to uncomfortable tuesdayand wed look better days

    Brave you mate, I was on shields pier and only noticed one going out at around 10 i think. Wind today just seemed to get progressively worse, on the pier anyway. Well done on cod catch.

                we had daylites with rag and hokeyes we got the cod on hard ground just past north piers south shields
