VHF repair - Help wanted

Hi.
Just found this site which seems excellent. I was wondering wether anyone had any ideas where i could get my VHF radio repaired or checked out. It is a NASA marine. It is doing me head in , everything looks as if it is working properly but I am met with complete silence. The obvious thought was the speaker, but it doesn't work with the plug in earphones either. Is there anywhere local to Sunderland that may offer a repair service.

welcome to the site you could try apex radios on whickham view,its in newcastle like but they do repair radios!

Can anybody explain im not having a go at anyone but i see martys eyes has just put up an ad seeking help fixing a vhf 1 week ago i put an ad on under wanted looking for a cheapish radar for my angling boat an dosent even get posted also put one on 2 months ago again not posted and infirm by so called regulators that i didnt have enuff posts to my name or summit daft ive now got 25 and still no advert posted marty has 2 posts ???????wots all this about anybody explain please look forward to hearing your answers.

Martys eyes is asking for advise on a topic. There are no restrictions on asking for advise.
You were posting in the Sales and Wanted section which has its own set of rules and restrictions.
Try reading them and everything should become quite clear.

Its all to do with people coming onto the site and just using it for selling stuff so by having to have posted a few and been part of the site you have contibuted in someway.

Too many were joining just to sell stuff and nothing else so the mods stopped it
