let me know how you get on with them chris(jester) as i could do with a couple of short rails for the back of mine which i was going to make myself but by the time buy the wire for the welder and the stainless pipe and fixing plates id probably waste most of it brushing up on welding skills so would probably be cheaper to get them made

Chris i'll let you know also, i priced all the bits off EBAY, rail ends, rail middles and the pipe, you screw the bits together, it came to a small fortune so i'm going for one piece welded ones..

Hi, I phoned MF Marine sevices last wednesday after an initial email, and then gave a guy called Ray the sizes, he said he would ring me back in half an hour, that was a week ago...it's the second time i've contacted them, so now i feel like they dont want the job.....seems a regular thing with boats, companies say yes no problem we'll phone you back, then never do. It happened with the chain stripper off my windlass but Ian (Kingling ) kindly made me one. So in short i'm no further forward, might just buy a pair off EBAY......

before you go to ebay chris i know a lad whos got a metal work shop,id forgot all about him until my old man mentioned him the other day! il see him for some prices for you if you give me the sizes,diameter tube your wanting and size of base plates you need and let you know!

Thats good of you BA, the sizes are 1300mm centres with a central upright, height 100mm, made of 25mm tube with 3 circular plates, 60mm diameter, to screw them to the gunnels.....i will need 2 handrails, if your mate could make them it would be great.....this is the type on EBAY.

Theres a friend of mine lives down beside the New Crown at Shields, hes done jobs for me and other boats in the Marina. His work is spot on, he will sort you out and the price will be right. At work in Saudi at present but will try and fish his number out and get it to you.
