I've just gone over all the weekend weather reports, and there is allways going to be an anoying breeze of 6-8 miles an hour west, backing southwest, southerly, coupled with big tides meens you'll be flying over any wrecks. Hope they're wrong, cos i'll still be trying Saturday could be the lightest winds.

now theres a good point Tone was going to fit in with the tide and have a lazy 6.30 start ...... but maybe we'll miss the sunrise as its expected to be a clear day, now that wouldn't do .......... might have to have a little re-think on the actual start time

Just a thought, couldn't be the plug ends caused by dampness over the winter months or a bad earth, just a little bit of green corrosion build up causing the problem, especially if all was well at the end of last season??

Two coats of antifoul and a polish completed today so back in the water she goes tomorrow as soon as there is enough tide on the slip, sort a few things out and a bit of checking that everything is ok and off we go! I followed a gritter home from Amble so the flotation suit it is for tomorrow as I would imagine it will be a touch cool until the sun gets up a bit!
There was still quite a bit of swell running at the entrance so I am not very hopeful of the fishing as the water is probobly manky, should be ok for monday and tuesdays session though on a positive note with the swell dropping all the time and the water clearing!

                              Graham.
