Just had a look at the long ranger and Saturday is getting better all day with Sunday and Monday looking fantastic! The first trip off of the year is in the post!
I have just got back in, it was very lumpy at sea today.
Anyone having problem with the gps signal this year? i wnet out and the boat kept jumping around on the gps screen, at one point i shat myself as i looked at the gps and i was right on top of the abby car park??? cant work that one out 5 sat's and all seemed ok but it could not hold position for more than 10 seconds jumping around 1/4 mile at a time???

Just a run out as i was bored..bit concerned over the gps thou..guess need to try it in the field of battle and see how it goes, hate to lose 4 years of waypoints.
i updated a garmin 450 because of same problem seemed do do the trick but 10mins later lost signal so i put my 450 on in sland marina found then lost signal tried today and everything ok

Yer it was the first time, always ran fine..well this one has ran fine the last one blow up on me after less than 2 weeks...got a new one free of charge and 4 years on no probs till now.

Kept loosing the signal on my plotter 4 weeks ago. At the time i put it down to the new windscreen blocking the signal, so hightend the gps a few inches and everythings ok now.

Rich, what GPS model is it , main thing does it have an SD card slot for maps and save. If so get a cheap SD card and save everything.....
worry later about how to read what you've saved, I can help you out there. At least you wont loose everything and have to type it all back in (if you have it written down that is)
It is the same as the one you just got Norman just not the S (split screen) i have saved the data on a card but cant find any faults ont he net from other people, i just hope it was a one off or glitch but will test it out Fiday or the weekend.
