I'd be paying a visit Mark, even if it was just to post a little note through his door so he knows you're not at the other end of a computer screen.

I've never had any bother ordering stuff from china, cree headlights, electronic scales, etc. I now have to avoid dealeaxtreme.com as stuff keeps arriving I've forgotten I'd ordered.

As Mark says, Paypal usually favour the buyer so you'd get your cash back if the worst should happen.

Bert got some of the braid last season and it's canny stuff.
    Cheers, Keith.

sure as eggs is eggs if you knock on the door he'll as likely go bleating to the old bill himself

normally I'd be pretty philosophical about. have used ebay since it first started 12 years ago and this is the first ever issue, well ironically the second in a week.

the other joker - sent him a 10" chartplotter. without contacting me - ebay dispute, significantly not as described so he gets his money back and returns it

it arrives you sign for it (who opens and thoroughly checks a parcel before it arrives??)

and then lo and behold I discover the bugger has had the back off and removed the invertor board - I assume to fix one he has already
well if he threatens to call the old bill, let him, then you can tell them what it is all about. What do ebay say about your problems, don't care probably.

its not even an issue on ebay's radar. no dispute or anything. chargeback straight from paypal

and boy is it fun trying to talk to them

Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything but bring a smile to your face when thrown down the stairs

Converting an MFV Fifie trawler type thing.

its unbelievable isnt it that ebay dont cover the sellar aswell, youd think that a firm the size they are would beable to cover it somehow! but like you say there would be no way that they would beable to check over every item that is returned or sold to make sure that they are working as they should! i think i would be paying him a visit especially when your on his doorstep

apparently, as a seller you get bugger all by way of protection. sell summats, get paid by paypal...then anything upto 120 days later...

buyer tells his credit card company that he didn't buy that, they reverse it and take it back off paypal, paypal take it back off you - despite using dhl and having the thing tracked and signed for at his registered address
That is an absolute CROCK that mate!!! I use ebay regular and have never suffered any problems, I guess it happens and im sorry to hear it!!! Hope you get sumwhere

LOL it's what happens when peeps share eBay links on forums...those cree headlamps jumped up in cost when they realised a load of geordies and mackums were getting all excited about them
