Well was quoted end of march before christmas, then middle of april, now its end of April.
Apparently the water you see creeping in is so they can float the pontoons which are due to be installed within the next 2 weeks, then i would imagine they would pump it out and fit the gates.
Im quite concerned about the amount of time it is taking as i have to make a decision before the end of march abotu what im going to do as regards my moorings. if it I?S goign to be ready by end of april then i am prepared to have april out of the water, but if its starting running over into may/june then forget it.

Shame it's not looking good for April, we would have given it serious thought but will have paid new fees for Hartlepool by then.

Anyone else hear rumours about them ordering wrong sized gate ? Just rumours as far as I know I must add though.

I reckon June-July, not just the pontoons to go in but, loch gates, all electrics, water, then health and safety checks etc, etc.

All the electrics are in Chris, there is a mini sub station on the premises that was completed last year, the main things needed are the gates and pontoons
They have been held up on the gates because when taking brickwork away to place the hydraulic ram they found the walls behind were hollow, this meant they had weeks of extra work getting the necessary structure in place to house and hold the ram.
On the seaham north dock website it was updated a few days ago and said providing there is no more severe weather it is due for completion end of April.

The electrics on the potoons i was referring to, but thinking about it the pontoons might come all kitted out. You'll be getting itchy feet Falcone, it'll be spot on for you living so close...Are the old fishermens cabins getting removed from the far side and the surrounding bank sides getting landscaped ?

Its not planned yet, the whole side of that part of the dock is listed, but at the same time its condemned.
There are no immediate plans to do anything with that part of the dock as of yet as far as im aware.
