No comps this year lads just lazy fishing days, hope you got some new gear to try as i have nothing new to mess with this year.
Still looking for a new light rod 10-12lb class but not found one that is better than what i am using already.Nothing makes a fish bigger than almost being caught

Will it reach 260ft down to them wrecks we fished last year...long way up with a fish bouncing on the end.
I am unsure what rod to go for, may have a look around again thou i have 4 rods so not short of choice.
Well hope to see you all soon................__................................ .............................

Have you thought about a spinning rod and fixed spool reel Rich?
Thats what I am going to do this year. It also means you can cast away from the boat easier.
Last Summer the water about 50 yards from my dinghy was boiling with loads of fry being attacked from below. By the time I had motored over they had gone, put off by my ngine no doubt. With a spinning rod I would have been able to cast to them with a spinner.
