Fitted the new seals to the water pump today and they're still leaking.
So its a new pump from Storrar on Monday and £403 to fork out.

At least as Norman said i'll be able to forget about it, dont want to be stripping out again as its a pain to get at the back bolts..

The sea was like a mill pond today , so gutted i cant get out , the guy on the boat next to me had a skip full of fish out the nets, all full of sandeel..
I've got 2 of them to fillett now for tea..happy days..

Your engine is the same as mine and my water pump leaked last year also, easy fix for me thou, i lapped the two mating faces in and a new seal with some sealant that came with it...ran over 100 hours since no bother.

I think mine was leaking after the impela went last year due to the ice and caused the seal to go hard and crack...i would try everything before paying that out, Nanni parts cost a load but they strong engines.

Hope you get it sorted, lot of experiance on here and i am sure Mark could tell you how to make one from scratch never mind fix a leak

The seals i put in were double lipped, with a stinless spring, i thought the extra lip would contact with a part of the shaft that was'nt marked and do the job. To tell you the truth Richy i can't be arsed to keep stripping it out and wondering if its leaking while i'm motoring.
I ordered a new one this afternoon over the phone, hope its money well spent. The missus told me just to buy a new one last week, so when i told her it was still leaking i got the " I told you so ". remark..

Richy, the Nanni engine is a cracker, i remember asking you about them before i bought the boat and you said yours had over 600 hours on it. I dont suppose you know the part no for the alternater belt, i adjusted it today and its at the end of the adjustment slot, and i cant make out the no's on it.

Thanks for that Kev, i'll get one ordered just in case.

March will be bait fishing i think Richie, you'll be able to use some of that frozen crab you've got put away, cant wait to be out there with the t shirt on in the summer, i had 4 layers on today and was still frozen stiff ,working on the engine.
