  • which pirk mould?

    which pirk moulds do you guys use?

    im looking at this website

    Pirk Moulds by Fishing Weight Moulds - DB Angling Supplies

    but i cant decide which mould to get, whats your thoughts?

    simple as for me tony,15mm chrome tube cut to desired length in my case around 7.5 inches

    flatten one end, loop of stainless in other,pour lead in--thats it

    drill hole in flattened end for 25mm split ring--go fishing

    realize now this isnt what you asked

      looked at site tony--speed jigs and yellow reef are popular with a canny few folks

      i dont like norway type jiggers(the 3 sided ones designed to flutter to the bottom)but its all down to what people are happy with

        i do like the look of the speed jigs, the yellow reef is a bit pricey (its for my birthday off the bairn)

            You won't get a yellow reef Tony, unless you can find one second hand and they are like hen's teeth.

            Norman's busy perfecting a fast drop pirk mould of his own design, if it's anything like his other moulds it will be spot on.

                Alright Tony, have a look on ebay, type in fish shape pirk mold, I bought the second quality version about 2 yr ago and its still going strong and only use the 300g part.

                Im very impressed with Normans new pirk mold aswell, im sure that will do some damage!!!

                  Yeah Ebay as good as anywhere Tony, keep looking the Yellow reef moulds pop up occasionally.
