Evening,
Just a quick one to see if anyone else had heard of a charge for getting a new boat dlivered to the dealer? My jaw hit the floor when I was informed that this would be £2600 and with a pre delivery inspection of £650 also to add on! Over three grand with bugger all to show for it in my opinion! It seems that things are conspiring against the new craft as that hit is too much to take for basically nothing! In addition Amble marina have reduced the maximum beam on the budget berth to 2.15m! Bloody Fantastic! Some of the boats we had ruled out are now back in the reckoning as most of the merry fishers and beneteau's are way over the 2.15m beam restriction. Going to re-visit the pilothouse 500 again as the beam is over but it ticks all the other boxes of enclosed wheelhouse, good fishing area, integral tank and speed with an 80 on the back, I have read a heap of reports on them and read about differing build quality but a lot of them seem to refer back to the fact that some people are expecting too much from a small under 6 metre boat. Hope you's all have a good New Year!
Graham.
