Well what a week... 20 (19 over 100lb) Commons boated from 61lb to 205lb, and PB\'s for everyone that fished with me over the week.
Norrie had his PB Conger of 17lb, 1st ever thornie and 1st Grey Gurnard
Paul had his PB Common of 205lb and his first Black mouthed doggie
Jim had his first ever Common and ended up with a PB of 161lb
Linda caught her first Male Common, a fish of 107lb
and Wee Mark caught his first Common, a male of 106lb... I spent most of
the 40 minutes that he had it on for holding him buy the harness to make
sure he didn\'t go over the side when the fish dived.
We spent hours on end drifting areas looking for flatties only to be
pestered by small Whiting, Codling, Grey Gurnards and LSD\'s.. We even
were catching LSD\'s in 8\' of water :-(
Mackerel were scarce, though we did get a couple of dozen of them, most of the time it was Pollack and coalies we were using for skate baits.
All the skate were caught in 330\' of water so we were only using 1lb leads and were all tagged and released.
