    Mat here is your mug shot mate you could have given us a smile all the same well done i will be in contact with you regarding the presentation it was a very tight contest with your fish winning by just 5oz weighing 24lb 5oz caught on sea-otter 2 beating a fish on two dogs of 24lb an extremly tight finish we done to the angler with the 24lb ling there was one or two ling over 30lb caught before the festival but they kept there heads dureing the comp i must mention the young junior lad who got a whopping 20lb ling on never can tell A the association might give an extra prize for the young mans effort but the £1000 first prize goes to you mat once again a very well done the WCSA is holding an uptiding festival starting on saturday 4th december till the 12th inclusive all the boats fish at ankhor and the main target is cod there is a special prize for the biggist any other species £1000 up for grabs .

    Well done thats a beast, Whitby is still a top port after all these years just a shame them big tuna dont return with the change in the sea.

        forgotten where I was reading it but apparrently there are "signs" that Tuna may be making a small comeback

            we might see Matt face in the Sunday Sun, what a cracking festival that was.
            Tuna from what i gather never realy went away, they just had their numbers reduced slightly, a few have turned up along the shoreline and have gone for big sums of money, but think they try and keep it quiet, don't want us anglers taking commercials catches do me now.

                  tow a great big lure at 8 knots along the surface to atract them they chuck sless at them, he will do the rest.
