  • Best baits for winter boat fishing

    I was just wnting to find out which baits are best for winter boat fishing.

    Well i have tried and failed many a time to have a good winter session on the boat from the rough ground, used all the normal baits but never had a great catch. Had days with laods of pouting and whiting with the odd tommy chucked it at Souter or St Marry's but no good cod days.

    Where you thinking of trying and what ground?

      Squid and and the wreaks just wondering what other bait would catch was thinking of some supermarket mackeral anny suggestions welcome.

        Crab, Squid, Ragworm, Runnydown, Mussel, basically anything you would use on on the shore.
