With the price of pirk wires being quite high i was wondering if anybody knows where to buy them cheap or is it possible to buy lengths of similar wire to make your own & if so where from & what is the best way to do it as it would be quite difficult to get the loops on the end of the wires.
I know a few electricians ,,,I ask them for a few off cuts of the thick cable > I think its called 10mill twin & earth or it could be thicker ,that does me,It does rot in the sea, but I loose a good few weights so it dos`nt have time to corrode guess copper wire will last a year or 3
welding rods - brass/copper/ali/stainless cheap on ebay
I discovered a lifetimes supply of stainless wires recently
council have just rebuilt a bridge and culvert in the dale. lots of re-inforced concrete. the steel mesh they lay out before concrete pouring is wired together with stainless wire
talking to one of the lads on the site he handed me a bundled of several thousand precut lengths. perfect length for the norwegian pirk mould, and are great for the mini pirk and spinner moulds

Thought for the day:
Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything but bring a smile to your face when thrown down the stairs
I use Two Roller Grip Tails (the ones your use for grip leads) plus you only need one split ring at the bottom to your trebble, you can buy 50 from your local tackle shop for £2.50 so 5p each And Only 10p for two compared to 25-30p for your bent/ straight pirk wire
