  • Kayos aboard the North Star

Its been a good while since the old ugly stick saw any action but hey, today was the day, phil had booked a day aboard Jims North Star so how could i not go ?

    anyway...
dust removed from the rod - check
does reel still turn - check
find tackle box - errrm check
will rod fit in the car - check

Down the dock for 7ish, nice day to be out i thought... off out to sea for 7:30 with the hopefull thoughts of finding some fish, initially the plan was to head out to a few local wrecks then head north for some good ground and possibly an old favorite wreck... plans changed as word reached the boat that the north ground wasn't fishing at all today, so spin the wheel and head east..

this decision proved the best of the day as it was fish after fish, sometimes 2 at a time for most of the day - note: nice one Jim..

a few photos ... Top fisherman of the day Chris

    Steve netting one..

    hmmm....

everyone had a grand catching day... total Kayos at times with everone bringing fish to the boat some netted some lifted aboard, baits varied from prawn to squid, no pork pies and not many on the shads today though

    ahh... this takes me back..

cracking day Jim... must do it again soon although a vist to the tackle shop may be in order... thanks for the borrows Phil
