Well as kev has already posted, it was defo a day of two halves on worlass with the morning producing some of the best cod of the season with the best 4 fish coming in at a total of around 30lb. this was followed by some frantic fishing just off whitley bay with small codling literally layering the seabed. at one point we landed about a dozen in under 5 minutes while my coffee got steadily colder and colder. most of the fish were around 1 to 3lb with the odd better one thrown in to test the nerve in light tackle. I have to say it was one of the best days out I've had for many a day (thanks again kev) and throw in a constant supply of mackies and coffee and biscuits it just doesn't get any better
